# Introduction

Governance of JustLend DAO is implemented through voting for proposals. JST can be used for community governance of JustLend DAO, Users who hold more than 200 million votes can promote a proposal on the platform. If the proposal receives more than 600 million supporting votes plus takes up the majority of the votes, it will be passed and excuted after 2 days' public disclosure.

The following rights in the protocol are controlled by the proposal system: 

* The ability to open/close/enable a  market 
* The ability to update the interest rate model for each market 
* The ability to update the market parameters.
